Winterisation Schedule - Inboard

  1. Start - And warm up engine
  2. Check - All instrument readings
  3. Check - For fuel, oil, water leaks
  4. Change - Engine Oil Level & Condition
  5. Change - Engine Oil filter
  6. Change - Pre-filter bowl, change all fuel filters
  7. Vent - Fuel system
  8. Inhibit - Upper cylinder and valves
  9. Change - Spark plugs / remove injectors and service
  10. Fit - New CB (except electronic), inhibit ignition system
  11. Check - Thermostat. Drain and inhibit raw water system
  12. Check - Coolant Levels, Mixture/Top Up (change biennially)
  13. Change - Coolant Filter change biennially
  14. Change - Rubber water pump impeller and store
  15. Clean - Water strainer
  16. Check - And lubricate speed control and reverse gear linkage
  17. Check - Oil level in reverse gear / or change
  18. Remove - and check condition of props
  19. Check - Engine and reverse gear, touch up paint (by request only)
  20. Check - and protect with moisture repellant spray all electrical connections
  21. Check - Alternator belt(s) condition, leave slackened
  22. Check - And replace sacrificial anodes
  23. Check - All rubber hoses and hoseclips
  24. Remove - Air filter or clean non-replaceable types
  25. Remove - Engine breather where applicable
  26. Check - Cam/supercharger belts condition
  27. Blank - All orifices and ports from atmosphere
  28. Check - Engine mounts, shaft alignment and coupling fixings
  29. Remove - Check, clean and charge batteries
  30. Clean - And dry bilges
  31. Leave boat clean and free from oil and grease
