Winterisation Schedule - Outboard
- Start - And warm up engine
- Check - All instrument readings
- Check - Gear shift and steering operation, condition of cables
- Check - For fuel, oil, water leaks
- Check - Engine Oil Level & Condition (Change when necessary)
- Inhibit - Through carburetor
- Change - spark plugs and inhibit cylinders
- Change - Pre-filter bowl, change all fuel filters
- Fit - New CB (except electronic), inhibit ignition system
- Drain - Fuel in carburetors
- Dispose - Of fuel in integral tank
- Check - Thermostat (if fault suspected)
- Remove - Lower unit
- Change - Rubber water pump impeller
- Clean - Water strainer
- Check - And lubricate speed control and reverse gear linkage
- Change - Gear oil
- Remove - and check condition of props
- Check - Engine, touch up paint (by request only)
- Check - and protect with moisture repellant spray all electrical connections
- Check - Alternator belt(s) condition, leave slackened
- Check - And replace sacrificial anodes
- Check - All rubber hoses and hoseclips
- Blank - All orifices and ports from atmosphere
- Grease - All grease points, tilt tube, steering tube, etc.
- Check - Engine mounts, shaft alignment and coupling fixings
- Remove - Check, clean and charge batteries
- Clean - And dry bilges
- Leave boat clean and free from oil and grease
